If you’re active duty military or a veteran, Thursday is your day. It’s the time every Amercian should be taking a moment to thank you for your service. And for chain restaurants that means serving you up some well-deserved free food and drink. Come Thursday you can grab free meals and snacks from Outback, Krispy Kreme, Chilis, Applebee’s and more…

Outback Steakhouse: On Thursday Outback is giving away a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage to veterans and military personnel. You can select the beverage of your choice for your freebie—as long as it’s non-alcoholic. You’ll need one of the following forms of identification: U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card.

Golden Corral: They’re bucking the system a bit at Golden Corral, and offering their Veteran’s Day freebies on Monday, November 15 instead of on Veteran’s Day proper. For the tenth anniversary of their Veteran’s Day dinner they’ll offer a free meal from 5pm-9pm on Monday for anyone who has ever served in the United States Military. If you are a veteran, retired, currently serving, in the National Guard or Reserves, you are invited. Last year over 335,000 veterans and active duty military took advantage of the free dinner buffet and beverage. They’ll also be collecting for the Disabled American Veterans organization, which will be used by state and local chapters to assist veterans. More Info

Chilis: Veterans eat free at Chilis on November 11 as well. You can choose your free entree from a special Veteran’s menu when you show proof of military service. The deal is for dine-in only, and does not include beverages or tip. Call first to be sure your location is participating. More Info
UNO Chicago Grill: At Uno you’ll get a free pizza or entree with the purchase of another entrée of equal or greater value on November 11. Simply show up in uniform, with a picture of you in uniform, or with your military or veteran’s ID and you’ll be in business! More Info

Vets Dine Free At Applebee's On Thursday

Last year Applebee’s served over a million free meals to American service personnel on Veteran’s Day. And this year they’re ready to do it again, offering up a free entrée to all veterans and active duty military who come in on Thursday, November 11. They’ll dine from a special “Vet’s Day Menu,” including bacon cheeseburgers, Fiesta Lime Chicken and Double Crunch Shrimp. We love this deal, as well as they’re slogan—that they’re “proud to serve those who serve us.”
You will, of course, need to provide verification of service, through one of the following methods: U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Photograph in uniform, Wearing uniform, Veterans Organization Card or DD214.
The deal’s only available at participating Applebee’s, so as always we recommend calling to be sure that your location is participating. And the freebie is available for dine-in customers only ordering from the special menu. Beverages and gratuity are not included.
